Canada’s Women’s National Team overcame a one-game deficit to win games two and three in the first Rivalry Series. Before a crowd almost 9,000 in London the U.S. claimed a 1-0 opening series win. The Canadian women came back in an exciting 4-3 win at Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, and continued their strong play with a 2-0 upset of the Americans on their home ice in Detroit. In total, over 27,000 fans attended the three games. Goaltender Shannon Szabados earned a 38-save shutout in the finale, and centre Brianne Jenner scored the game-winning goals in both victories.
